Every material carries traces of human lives, experiences and stories.

At KHOLAB, we believe these stories deserve to continue through art.

The Art of Existing Materials

We do not create from nothing.

We create from what already exists, from materials that carry texture, culture and time.

Denim, sneakers and reclaimed textiles are our creative surfaces. Our raw material is the world as it already is.

We begin with existing materials and explore their creative potential.

This is a creative position. A belief that the most powerful artistic surfaces are often the ones that already hold a story.

We call this Upcycling Art.

Not restoring.

Not repurposing.

A sneaker becomes a wall artwork. A denim panel becomes a limited edition. A reclaimed textile becomes a collector piece.

The material does not disappear. It evolves.

Each KHOLAB work is unique.

The material determines the form.

The history of the object becomes part of the artwork itself.

KHOLAB works at the intersection of artistic vision and material expertise.

Our works and editions are created in collaboration with artists who understand that a surface is never neutral. What a material has been shapes what it can become.

We also collaborate with craftspeople, ESAT workshops and social economy partners whose expertise in textiles, construction and transformation is inseparable from the work itself.
